What are the leading use cases for HMI right now?
Responses: On behalf of Primary - Jim Morrish , Secondary - Bassam Zarkout
Leading cases are generally in the AR space. Historically AR has been used extensively to support product design, but now the same technologies are being used to view ‘overlaid’ information about a machine (either sourced from the cloud, or from the machine itself), and as a support tool particularly for service engineers working in the field, or production line staff working to produce complex technical equipment. AR can also enable remote service engineers to in real time annotate ‘views’ of technical assets that are shared by an on-site engineer, adding guidance and other relevant information such as sequences of actions.
